You are viewing the home site of Olof Lönnroth. This site's purpose is mainly to be an outlet for my thoughts and my music, as well as being a place where I can show off and develop my web designing skills and experiment with different design and coding techniques. It's also a way for me to promote my work, and hopefully attract customers. So, in short, it's all about satisfaction of my narcissistic needs.

Lonnroth.info is, as with all my sites, developed using web standards for the highest possible flexibility, portability and accessibility. Much work has been put into making sure this site looks and works as good as possible on as many platforms as possible. It is my belief that web sites should be pleasant on the eyes and easy to use, as well as accessible to anyone. Web standards help me achieve this.

For as long as Olof can remember, sounds have had a very important role in his life. Infact, according to a somewhat interesting story that his parents once told him, the first words ever to come out of Olof's mouth was an imitation of the sound of a lawnmower (!). Imitating sounds was definitely one of his main expertises (and an annoying one it probably was too) as a child. His family always had a big interest in music, and that naturally came to Olof too. He has been producing music for about eight years by now, and has a number of releases behind him, mainly within electronic genres such as trance and house.

However, nothing good lasts forever. Due to long periods of lacking inspiration (he would say it is because he's not depressed enough), Olof's attempts to create music became more and more infrequent. To compensate for that, he fell in love with another form of creative communication.

Visual artforms, as well as computers and what you can do with them, had been a big part of Olof's life for years. So, web design was close at hand. Though he continues to make music, designing for the web is now his main interest, and he has gained much experience, working for clients and for his own interest. He is right now studying Information Systems Science at the IT-University in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is looking forward to become more educated within a subject he loves.

When not engaged in producing music or designing for the web, Olof likes to spend time with his friends and girlfriend, eating italian food, watching strange movies (he earlier studied film theory for a year and a half), and, of course, listening to music.
