Recently, an interesting new app for OS X called Delicious Library was released, and I downloaded the demo version of it today. It’s great! It looks like it could be a part of Apple’s iLife and it lets you import all your books, movies, CDs and other stuff, and keeps them organized in a library.

Now this may not seem like something totally cool and new. But the really cool feature is that you can actually use any digital camera as a bar code scanner! You just hold up the item you wish to import to the library in front of your camera, and Delicious Library scans the bar code, looks it up on amazon.com, and imports the product together with lots of information about it and, if available, the cover art. You can also sync your library with your iPod. Go get it!
