Two divine experiences

Well, I’m not really religious, but yesterday, I had the great pleasure to watch the japanese sci-fi flick Casshern. And I must tell you, this was an experience beyond sanity. It was totally jaw-dropping. I got the exact same feeling of amazement that I had when watching The Matrix for the first time back in 1999, if not even stronger. As the movie ended, I just sat silently, in deep thought, watching the credits roll by. Few films have this effect on me, and I love it. Five stars out of five, hands down.

I catched another great film this week, namely the russian sci-fi thriller Stalker. This too was a great experience, with lots of philosophy and beautiful photography. In fact, one of the most good-looking live action movies I’ve seen to this date. Highly recommended! There’s also a computer game being made based on the concepts of this movie, appropriately called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It looks pretty interesting.

And for last, I’ve made some new music. It started out as a kind of experiment as I, after having heard the recent hit Call On Me by swedish DJ Eric Prydz, wanted to see exactly how easy or difficult it would be to create a similiar song. It turned out pretty cool, though I must admit it became something of a rip-off. A preview will be up here for you shortly.
