A place where OLD means new.
Hi! I'm Olof Lönnroth, a webdesigner, musician and Bachelor of Informatics, living in Gothenburg, Sweden.
This is my playground on the web. I currently work as a web designer and developer at NetRelations. If you'd like to ask me something, just send me a note.
Web Design
Return to topOLDesign version 6
Weblog design and development for WordPress using standards compliant XHTML and CSS, as well as some PHP scripting for personalized functionality.
OLDesign version 6 was the last incarnation of my weblog, located at this very site. I was actually very proud of this design at the time, and still like it, so I decided to keep some, if not most, of the colors of the design when I made this new portfolio. It was also featured in a number of CSS-gallery websites when it was released back in 2006, which was quite nice.
The design is mainly a regular WordPress theme with some added WordPress plug-ins, but since I couldn't keep my hands out of it and also wanted some custom functionality, I scripted some stuff of my own as well. I stopped blogging since I never came up with good stuff to write about — and most of what I wrote wasn't that good anyway — but the blog is still fully operational. Take a look around and, if you'd like, read some old blog posts of mine.

Music

Me @ Amazon »
Maybe you've heard about one of my silly pseudonyms? Xervana, Attic Session and Joarr are some of them. Nowadays, I'm more into my real name.
I've been making music for over ten years now, and I still genuinely love it. The only problem is that my musical inspiration is often very low, and so I only make probably about two songs a year these days.
I started out making mostly electronic music, in genres such as Trance and House. In 2001, I released an album with Trance music, and have been featured on a small number of other releases since then. Nowadays, I'm into more experimental electronic music, as well as different Metal genres. I sing in a Metal band, and also try to knock out some songs of my own whenever the time is right.
Musical influences include Pain of Salvation, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Mike Oldfield, Astral Projection, Depeche Mode, Mew, and much much more. Feel free to listen to a couple of songs below.
